Galeeren Poker (German/English)

A poker game for 2-6 players in which players must use their luck with cards to win as much money as possible.

The galleys are set up in the middle of the table and filled randomly with the wooden cubes. The playing cards are shuffled and each player receives 3 cards face down and 50 currency units. The remaining cards form a face-down pile, from which one card is then placed face up in the middle. The player who was last on a ship receives the starting player token.

The three galleys each show a different cargo. As soon as a player achieves exactly this distribution with the cards in their hand AND the cards on the table, they win the round.

The starting player can now place a bid based on their card and the card on the table, expressing whether they believe they will be the first to reach the loading pattern of one of the galleys.

When a bid is made, the other players must either call or fold. Anyone who makes a bid or calls places the corresponding amount of money in the center of the table (the pot).
The player who made the bid cannot raise it again; only the other players still in the game can do so (then, of course, the original bidder can raise again).
When no more bids are made and several players are still active, another card is revealed and bids can be made again (as before).
The round ends when a player can replicate the loading pattern of one of the galleys with their cards and the cards on the table. They show their cards as proof and receive the pot. If several players were able to replicate a pattern, the pot is divided.
