The rain was wet and the night was dark. It was Sunday, and that would have to be enough. After all, this was a special day in Willi's life. A day he would remember for a long time, in case he ever got bored. Willi's old Volkswagen, absolutely unsellable due to its condition, raced purposefully down the street in the middle of the city center at a speed beyond any legal limit. Where the road curved gently to avoid the pedestrian zone, and Willi should have reacted accordingly by steering the car to the right, the MOT-less monster roared straight into the window of a department store, burying the delicate and scantily clad fashion dolls beneath it, and finally came to a stop with its radiator hissing. Somewhere nearby, one of the city's last residents turned on a light, presumably to find out the reason for the nightly disturbance to his sleep. His wife was lying next to him, and this explanation was apparently sufficient for him to turn the light off again. Therefore, no one noticed how the spreading gasoline fumes mixed with the musty air of the department store and, due to the explosive situation, ignited a short time later, so that the building was ablaze a few seconds later. But since Willi wasn't in the car, he wasn't interested in the matter any further. Instead, he was thinking hard.
