Description:

The East River borders Manhattan to the southeast. Famous bridges, including the Brooklyn Bridge, cross the East River. Ferry lines across the river must also be considered.

In addition to red, beige, green, and blue, there is now a fifth type of tile edge: a dashed white line on blue (water) areas represents a (passenger) ferry connection. A fifth symbol also indicates that this tile side may only be placed on identical tile sides (with a ferry connection). Due to their small number, this is rarely possible and is therefore rewarded with "free" redrawing of district tiles.
