The year is 1910. The Viennese coffee house Café Central is bustling. Everyone who's anyone from the worlds of art, literature, politics, and science gathers here.
Try to get a little bit of glamour from the famous people with your guests. Place them at the same table next to Stefan Zweig, Sigmund Freud, or Gustav Klimt and listen to their conversations. The more skillfully you place the guests in the café, the more victory points you'll earn.
To accommodate the wishes of your guests and the celebrities, you mark the café patrons' preferred seating locations (e.g., "only at a round table") by playing reservation cards. By playing additional reservation cards ("only on a blue chair"), you reduce the number of possible seats until you have precisely determined the café patron's seat (a process of elimination). If you were the most clever at placing your guests next to the celebrities, you win the "Café Melange" game.
